Our background

Once upon a time... there was a language enthusiast !

Madame Polyglotte, myself, extends a warm greeting to all of you!

Madame Polyglotteis a young and dynamic company that promotes accessible education! The service is specifically aimed at young people between the ages of 4 and 18. The goal is as follows :

To provide a wide variety of educational materials (exercises, exam prep, activities, crafts, worksheets, etc.) in different languages. Madame Polyglotte is dedicated to teaching in multiple languages and making education accessible to a very large number of people. For now, the exercises are designed for elementary and middle school students. Eventually, Madame Polyglotte would like to offer materials covering topics such as mechanics, biology, chemistry, and many others. For now, Madame Polyglotte operates in 10 languages: French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Italian, Russian, Simplified Mandarin, Traditional Mandarin, and German. But this is just the beginning. Eventually, other languages may be added.

A little background

The idea came to me one evening while I was practicing Italian. Because yes, I am indeed polyglot. Once I will have mastered them, Russian and German will be my 7th and 8th spoken languages. As a language enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for materials to practice with. After I’d just finished a fantastic exercise on colors in Italian, I thought to myself that I could probably find a similar one in Russian or German. After several unsuccessful searches, a brilliant idea popped into my head. Why not create a website that brings together educational resources available in multiple languages? That way, people who, like me, love languages could have access to these resources. As I began creating resources, and especially as I talked with my colleagues in the fields of education and languages, I realized that this concept could benefit not only non-native speakers but also native speakers of a language. On that very same day, Madame Polyglotte was born !

A very small team that’s eager to grow

I, Madame Polyglotte, am the owner of the company. However, I’m currently working closely with translators. Because, let’s face it, until I can speak all those beautiful languages myself, I’m going to need a little help! Let’s stay humble and work with other professionals. After all, that’s the best way to make progress: surround yourself with the right people! For now, it’s me, Madame Polyglotte, who creates the content before translating it myself or having it translated #letsbehumble. I’m also the one who does… well, who does everything, since, aside from the people who translate and proofread. I do it all on my own.

Teachers are to roots what children are to flowers

Education is an opportunity, a gift, and, in theory, a right. This treasure has been given to us, and it is imperative that we make good use of it. Personally, I’ve had some truly excellent teachers. Now it’s time to give back. It’s time to provide teachers with motivating, tailored, and accessible tools to keep students in our classrooms until they themselves discover how they can become valuable members of our society. They, the students, are the future of the country, the future of our nation and our society. So we must take care of them and devote time to their education. Madame Polyglotte aims to provide educational content to motivate young people to learn. Since Madame Polyglotte was founded, many people in her community have resumed or started learning languages. Others have begun to open themselves up to other cultures and, above all, to become aware of and rediscover their own culture. May Madame Polyglotte offer you a fresh perspective on education.

Happy teaching, happy learning, and best of luck!
